Classes and Camps

Our aim here at ESG is to offer a wide variety of classes to better enable children to participate and fulfil their potential in gymnastics. Our fizzifun classes start from as soon as children begin to walk and from here children progress through our aged-based class system until they are 5 and a half. After this they move to our ability-based programme where we offer a range of disciplines including general gymnastics, tumble and trampoline. Children can start at any age, please contact us if you are not sure which class to book for your child

  • Preschool classes
    • Our preschool classes start from as soon as children can walk through nursery before joining our main gymnastics programme
    • Parent and child classes (0-2 years) run at the Furzefield Centre. Independent 3-4 years classes run at both the Furzefield Centre and Hertswood Academy

  • Gymnastics classes
    • Our gymnastics classes run weekdays and Saturdays at Hertswood Academy as well as Wednesdays and Saturdays at the Furzefield Centre
    • Classes are age based until 5 and a half years and then from our beginners classes progression is ability based
    • You can book straight on to a beginner class via the parent portal or contact us to discuss if your child has previous gymnastics experience
  • Trampolining classes
    • Our trampoline classes run weekdays and Saturdays at Hertswood Academy and start from age 4+
    • Classes are ability based, you can book straight on to a beginner class via the parent portal or contact us to discuss if your child has previous trampoline experience
    • If your child wishes to use trampolining for GCSE PE please contact us to discuss requirements
  • Tumbling classes
    • For those who love cartwheels, flips and somersaults!
    • Our tumbling classes run on Tuesday evenings at Hertswood Academy
    • Classes are ability based, please contact us to discuss which class would be most appropriate for your child
  • 1:1 sessions
    • We offer 1:1 and small group sessions for both gymnastics and trampolining
    • Sessions can be used to work on specific skills, supplement regular training, or as an assessment for new gymnasts joining us

  • Squad classes
    • Our squad classes offer a higher level of training for talented and committed gymnasts who wish to pursue a more competitive pathway
    • We compete in tumble, DMT & Women’s Artistic
    • We hold open squad trials once a year. Please email us for further information at info@teamesg.co.uk
  • Holiday camps
    • Our camps run 9.30am – 3.30pm each day and are open to children aged 4+
    • Children participate in a range of activities throughout the day including gymnastics, tumbling, trampolining, DMT as well as fun and games
    • Camps are open to members and non-members, members receive a discount on camp bookings – please contact us if you do not have the discount code
    • All holiday camps are held at Hertswood Academy in Borehamwood
